    • we just had our 2nd fiesta today at hani's place in tanza, cavite. as usual, delectable foods were served :) thanx hani for the warm invite! And special thanks to dadi jo for giving in to us... he treated us all to digman's original halo-halo :p sarap talaga pag libre! hehehe!

    • held at LA resort in los banos, laguna. we were more than 20 heads there. although mejo late na km nakarating sa resort, sulit naman when we got there. big pools with a bridge :), spacious and comfortable rooms, a billiard table, at ang 24-hr running videoke :) saya namin! or should i say, mas happy ang mga tummies namin sa dami ng pagkain ;) hehehe! (thanx to maying and rakie for taking time and all the effort in preparing our balde-baldeng baon, literally! hehe) dadi bates, thanx for making this teambuilding possible for us, and for making our bonds stronger. :)

    • Ive always wondered how it felt like to have a kid in the house. They say it busts off whatever stress you have once you see them. They say it's gift of joy. They say the moments are priceless.

    Last night, someone brought a surprise to the family. well, not quite a surprise... but at least it gave a solid answer to my question (and a few speculations ). Yes, it is official... and first heard from Kuya Rye :)

    Cris is pregnant! :) (oh my, i just realized ive been sitting here for an hour already, contemplating... thinking for the right words. but i guess im still at a loss here... since last night... since we heard the news! )

    nevertheless, i am so happy ( and overly excited for the baby to come!)  i can't wait to see cris and be with the whole gang on my celebration next week!

    • this is jack and i's first, and hopefully one of the many, vacation spot for this year 2009. it's already my 2nd time in bora... jack's first... but i must say this nothing short of a vacation :)

    • what a wonderful way to start the year! bonding with your family, your loved ones :) we decided to have lunch and try the "taksiyapo" in tarlac, as suggested by kuya rye. it was a long, almost 3hr drive from manila to the restaurant. we drove by the newly-opened highway leading all the way to clark, pampanga. smooth road, cruising mode km. sulit naman ung tiniis naming gutom :) the resto, by the way, is owned the the ongpauco clan, same owner of the barrio fiesta. we didn't expect that we'd be seeing large statues and buddhas, and even bountiful japanese kois there. we felt like we were transported to bangkok in an instant! :) it has a very relaxing atmosphere. you could even pass by their large pans along the way while the specialties are being cooked. at ang sarap ng native filipino dishes nila i swear! i especially liked their inihaw na manok marinated in gata :) muntik na pating umandar ang pagka-adventurera ko wen i tried to order fried frog legs, kaso di umubra kay jack hehe! hm...

    • kuya rye and cris' big day! just a short and simple civil wedding, very light ang atmosphere. almost everyone's there, both sides of the family...except for that one very important person. :( anyway... masaya pa rin naman ang lahat...most especially the newlyweds :) big thanks also to nana, lolo, and tito jun who flew from the states and took time to attend the wedding. reception took place at max's, humabol pa si kuya tony :) too bad we weren't able to borrow tito arnold's bmw...hmm...there's always a next time ;p hehe! went to tita ian's house after the reception. situated at the posh tahanan village. we were awe-struck! very spacious, maaliwalas and one of the most inviting houses i've ever been to. it's where friends and guests are always welcome, just like what tita ian's said. almost my kind of "dream house" :) tita ian and tito jun were both very accomodating. she even prepared nachos and puttanesca for us, at di mawawala ang tito jun's fave yellow cab pizza ;) sa haba at saya n...

    it's 2nd time for team bates! special thanks to my dear friend pau...who took care of our food. i'd say da best talaga sha...with pau around, food is always taken care of! :) the outing was fun naman, although i didn't get to enjoy half of it since i was too borlogs to stay up late 'till the wee hours. too bad i took my shift kc before we headed for the outing. anyway... i didn't miss the pool pa rin naman :) plus, this was my first time (and definitely my last time!) to taste dog meat. adobo-style. ewww! sorry! did it just for the sake of satisfying the "curious" in me. it was tastier pala talaga than cow meat. i just chewed a small portion, although i didn't get to swallow it since sobra anghang ng timpla. so un! never again! hehe! ;p

    absolutely breathtaking! from landscapes to the mystic lakes and limestone cliffs, the clear bluewaters and abundance of fishes, to the perfect beachwater, the sunny weather and the warmth and hospitality of the locales (and foreigners as well!) ... oh and the sniper fish (hmmm...or was it snapper fish?!) !!! haaay basta...nakalimutan ko pangalan ko sa sarap! :) dito ko lang ata na-experience tamarin mag-take ng pics sa sobrang aliw magsnorkel and to just savor the sceneries! oh well, we managed anyway (thanx to our "camera-shy" nikki and kaye! hehe!) sulit lahat ng pagod, sakit ng katawan.. pati sunburn (skinfood anyone?! :p) ! haha! (" ,) special thanx to owen's DIY coron for the loop tour. march 19 has never been this memorable! :)

    something fishy on mother's day

    i finally got to see two of my good friends rye and anne after such a long time. How time flies! Before, they were just like two colleagues in the office having the time of their lives. Now they're happily married, and blessed with a healthy baby girl...raiann shalia who's now 2months old :) she's soooo adorable! It's an honor to be her godmother :) Welcome to the christian world baby lia...

    God sent an angel to our family :) i soooo can't wait to see and hug him! Guys, you can now officially call me "tita judee" ( " ,)

    isang insidente sa aming bahay habang kami'y masayang nanananghalian...

    ang komedyante kong kuya...habang karga-karga at nilalaro ang kanyang baby ay lumapit sa akin sabay sabi with a smile, "ayan judee, parang may pamangkin ka lang noh"...

    lahat kami natulala, natigilan, at nagkatinginan.

    sagot ng kanyang asawa, "ano ka ba naman papa, talaga namang pamangkin nya yan eh!"

    ang magaling kong kuya... natulala, natigilan, at tiningnan pa kami na wari bang nagtataka kung anong mali sa sinabi nya, sabay sambit ng "oo nga, pamangkin nga nya..."


    ayun, windang kami lahat! :p

    in celebration of our 3rd happy year together :) thanks again to dundee and angel for being so warm and accomodating to us... and for making our trip to cebu more fun than what we've expected it to be :) can't wait for the 3rd time :)
